I got this backpack to use as a combination briefcase and mobile studio. Upon opening the item, I was immediately impressed by the build and quality of the materials. The fabrics used seem to focus on water resistance, which make this a great item for outdoor use. The extending roll top design also allows one to tote larger, more unwieldy items as needed and still bring it back to roughly normal backpack size and shape when complete. My favorite features are the two overlapping, side opening pockets on the front. I work as a professor and professional illustrator, so they make ideal compartments for my backup drawing styluses, fountain pens, small notebooks, etc. Internally there is a laptop or tablet pocket and two zipping compartments, one of them made of a durable, waterproof material. There is yet another somewhat hidden compartment on the seam of the back cushion of the pack, and two sets of clip straps on either side for toting tripods, umbrellas, any sort of long, slim object that needn't be placed in the main compartment. Lastly, and also a feature I enjoy, is the lateral access to the main compartment. I struggle with clutter in top down access backpacks, so being able to open the main compartment from the side and actually see (rather than just blindly feel) the contents closer to the bottom borders on game changer for me. The pack is light, attractive and, I think, an excellent product for regular to moderately heavy use. The zippers all feel like quality product, no clicks or sticks, and the metal tassels are nicely matched with the product. I really like this pack a lot and will likely use it as my EDC for as long as it holds out. Hopefully, and from the look of things, that will be a good long time.
